Here are some of my latest portraits....
To celebrate the imminent (we hope!!) arrival of spring I've decided to have a giveaway!!
I am offering a bespoke custom portrait of your home free of charge to one lucky winner.
All you have to do is add your own frame as this recent customer did:
Ive recently finished a few portraits and they are now safely at home with their new owners and so I can share them with you.
And there were chickens!! Which I really enjoyed doing....
An Old Police House....
If you'd like to order your own portrait, please click on the "How To Order" tab just below the blog title.....

A few of my customers have sent me pics of their portraits all framed to share with you:
They are very difficult to do justice to in a photo but you can see how lovely they look when framed.

I'm Sarah, please to meet you!! You may know me from my other blog Shabby Chic Sarah - I've started this blog in order to keep a record of the bespoke embroidered house portraits I make.
I work from a photo to draw a sketch of your home, picking out all the distinctive details. I then make an applique using quality fabrics both new and vintage.
I then free hand embroidery the fabric to the background using my machine. The picture is created by using the needle as a "pencil" to freehand draw the details on to the fabric.
I add smaller details such as the windows, drainpipes and so on and then it is time add some hand embroidery in the form of flowers, trees and bunting.
Each portrait takes upwards of 20 hours to complete.
I can add "fantasy" touches (that are not really there on your real home) such as windowboxes, wisteria or rambling roses, picket fences, even cats - use your imagination!!
The finished work is pressed and packaged ready to be sent to you.
All you need to do is supply a clear photo of the house.
Please see the tab above (below the blog header) on details of how to order.
